MTN Nigeria has just slashed the costs of their BlackBerry subscription
to match the prices offered by Etisalat, which slashed their prices last
week. Under the new pricing, the BlackBerry Complete plan with one
email and No BlackBerry protect, would now got for N1,000 while the full
plan BIS with all the bells and whistles would go for N1,500.
The new prices took effect about an hour ago, and all the activation done in the last hour have been at the new price.
Efforts to get official confirmation, where deferred to tomorrow when we
learn an official announcement would be made. A source also let us know
that both plans would be “unlimited” with fair usage policy in place.
