Davido's Father Insist He must Get a Degree

They say the biggest legacy a parent can leave for his-her children is education.

Davido's father wants him to enroll in a university and graduate with a degree. To make that happen, he has reportedly built an entire department at Babcock University (where he is currently a provost) for Creative Arts which will have Davido and his manager Kamal as the only students for now.

We’re told he has also bought a dedicated car which take the boys to and from school as they work to combine academic commitments with show business.

Davido and Kamal (who had to go back to school because of Davido’s father’s insistence) are using the opportunity to bond, a source tells us.

It is also likely his celebrity cousins Bayo ‘B.Red’ and Sina ‘Sinarambo’ Adeleke will be joining them soon.

‘Davido’s dad believes a lot in his music and HKN. He thinks David can take it to the next level but he also feels education is compulsory foundation for his son’, a source to the family tells us.

We learn he has been helping to put up necessary structures that’ll ensure the boys don’t mess things up. For starters, Mr Adeleke insists on meeting with everyone working with his son.

And the young pop star has so far been co-operative.

Davido’s mother Vera, an educationist herself was until her death in 2003, a lecturer at Babcock University.

Mourning Parents Find Dead Baby Alive in the Mortuary

A couple didn’t know how to respond after finding their dead baby alive in a hospital morgue.
Five doctors at Perrando Hospital, in northern Argentina have been suspended for the declaration of a stillbirth and having the baby nailed inside a coffin and placing it in a cold room in the hospital morgue for 12 hours, the Argentina news media reported.
The boy, who was named Luz Milagros, or "Light Miracle", was found in a coffin in the hospital in Chaco, a half a day after his birth.
"We were told the baby had hypothermia and that this may have weakened her heart, which was already low before birth," said the baby's father, Fabian Veron, who is 31 years old.

The baby's mother, Analia Bouter, 29, who has four children, said she never had the chance to say goodbye to her child, since she was sedated during birth, which came three months early.
The grieving mother and father visited the hospital morgue 12 hours later. The couple was taken to a cold room and shown a small coffin that was nailed shut.
"My husband used a lever and opened the coffin," said Bouter.

The mother, hoping to find closure, instead came face to face with her daughter, who was wrapped in a white blanket and it looked as if she was just waking up, the mother said. The baby stretched and let out a scream.
The mother of five children, said she fell to her knees. "This is a message from God, a miracle," she told the news media.......................................................Wonderful God

Here is good news for patients suffering from cancer; a team of UAE University researchers might have made a breakthrough in the treatment of cancer by discovering the exciting properties of Manuka honey that effectively inhibit the growth of a variety of cancer cell types including chest, skin, and colon cancer.

Manuka honey has been known for long and has been packaged and sold in different forms, but no one knew how powerful this honey can be. The honey is obtained from nectar collected by honey bees from manuka trees found in New Zealand. Recognised for its anti-bacterial and wound healing properties for many years, the honey was, however, not investigated for its potential effects on cancer cells, said a UAE University official. The ground-breaking discovery provides strong scientific evidence,” he said, adding that the discovery had been made in a research conducted by a team of prominent researchers from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the UAE University (UAEU). The research, he said, has also highlighted the honey’s potential property of reducing the toxic side effects associated with chemotherapy treatment in cancer patients. The study, recently published in an international scientific journal, was led by Dr Basel Al Ramadi, professor and chairman of the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology.

Professor Al Ramadi said the team used three different cancer cells in the research. “[It] demonstrated that the addition of exceedingly small amounts of manuka honey, as little as 1.0 per cent, can stop the growth of cancer cells,” he said.

The researchers, he said, then carried out an extensive series of experiments to uncover the molecular basis of manuka’s anti-cancer activity. “Our findings provided conclusive evidence that manuka acts directly by inducing apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in cancer cells,” said Professor Al Ramadi.

Apoptosis is a physiological process that all multicellular organisms use to balance their need for new cell generation with the elimination of old unwanted ones. This process is tightly regulated so that, in adult tissues, cell death exactly balances cell division. In the course of their investigation that began more than five years ago, he said, the researchers also successfully used an animal tumour to demonstrate the potential effect of manuka honey in experiment............................................culled from NaijaTalk
